Screening and Panel discussion of Audrie & Daisy
October 10, 2016

BWEF and RWU present a free screening of the documentary "Audrie and Daisy" -- and a panel discussion with some of the young women featured in the film -- at RWU School of Law, Rm 283, on Thursday, October 13th at 6pm.

Audrie & Daisy follows the stories of Audrie Pott and Daisy Coleman, high school students who were sexually assaulted by school acquaintances and subsequently bullied by their peers, while their assailants received little punishment. Tragically, Audrie took her own life, but Daisy survived multiple suicide attempts and went on to connect with other survivors to forge a path toward healing by creating SafeBAE.

The film is about the power of survivor networks, and more specifically, the power of teen peers to reverse the tragic affects of online and in-person bullying. SafeBAE has developed a student activist kit for the film and the survivor/co-founders will be speaking following the screening. There is also a provided curriculum, developed by Futures Without Violence.

This screening is free and recommended for all High School age students and their families. More information is available here.
