The BWEF Board of Directors is so excited to announce the funding of nearly $70,000 in educational grants for the 2018-2019 school year, bringing 23 teacher/administrator designed academic enrichment programs to the Bristol Warren Regional School District. This year more compelling grant applications were received than ever before, representing a total request for funding far greater than that of previous years. Programs were approved through a rigorous grant review process which took place over several weeks, and will engage students in the areas of STEM, Social/Emotional Learning, Outdoor Education, Music, Art, Theater, Language, Writing, Media, Literacy, and Civics.
The success of this grant cycle can be attributed to the generosity of the unbelievable residents and businesses of our towns who participated in the Bodacious Bee, Thank A Teacher, and Food Truck 5K/10K, combined with the dedication and innovation on the part of our district's educators. This represents an impressive collaborative investment in the academic enrichment of our students, leaving BWEF Board Members eagerly anticipating what the 2019-2020 year may bring.
Since it was founded in 2007, BWEF has now funded almost half a million dollars in local school grants! BWEF is a nonprofit tax-exempt organization. Foundation board members are corporate and community leaders, parents, and alumni, who donate their time and talents in order to promote the mission of the Foundation.
