The Bristol Warren Education Foundation is excited to announce the funding of $72,000 in educational grants for the 2019-2020 school year, bringing 30 academic enrichment programs designed by local educators to the Bristol Warren Regional School District.
This year the BWEF was pleased to receive an increased number of innovative grant requests from a growing number of engaged educators, resulting in a total funding amount that exceeded that of previous years.
Programs were approved through a rigorous grant review process, which took place over several weeks, and will engage students in the areas of STEM, Social/Emotional Learning, Outdoor Education, Music, Art, Theater, Language, Writing, Media, Literacy, and Civics. The success of this grant cycle can be attributed to the generosity of local residents and businesses who participated in BWEF fundraisers including the annual Bodacious Bee, combined with the dedication of our district's educators.
Since it was founded in 2007, BWEF has now funded $560,000 in local school grants!
Thank you all for your continued faith in our mission, and don't forget: Donate, Volunteer, Attend!
